When I started doing Dateline 4:20 Online it was a newsletter of sorts, kind of a cross between a zine and a blog. It was also in print format, so transitioning to the Internet was a little awkward. The intent was to provide items of interest, education and entertainment to people I knew around school and in town, but to make it appealing enough that strangers could enjoy it too. When I started the youtube account, I was probably thinking that Windows Movie Maker was about to become my best friend and that I'd be cranking out all these hot exclusives about car accidents and club openings. As it turns out, this channel has become a place to post whatever totally random thing I've shot on my Sidekick that day. "Side" note: the new Sidekick sucks ass and I highly recommend you NOT buy one. [EDIT: As of 2009 I've traded up to BlackBerry devices] But I digress. Instead of doing slickly produced technology review videos and "My New Haircut" responses, I've been shooting birds (whoa that came out wrong) and posting them unedited. It's all for the best considering I can't stand those smug bastards who try too hard.
