Interesting. It's always been said that 'You Really Got Me' was only recorded on a one-track tape. Hence it is the only song on the stereo Kinks LP that isn't stereo (only mono with an echo). Not heard this version before, but are you sure it isn't a very convincing simulated stereo mix? I wonder...

It's fine to celebrate Jesus at Christmas, but this isn't the only original meaning. In the Germanic world (I believe in Asatru), Yule was celebrated in December before Christianity. @joaovdm But the original version is by The Kinks. The Kinks' version is better than Van Halen's. But the Chipmunks version is horrible.
