Another similarity between the ALW Phantom Movie and Blackadder . . . in the first season when Edmund accuses his brother of being a bastard, he has a duel with the visiting Scots lord, and his sword breaks. Maybe Ben Elton helped with the movie too, ha ha.

Note the use of "are," "is," and "To be" Doesn't "to be" imply "be-ing" and therefore "SOMETHING" that is be-ing. I see positive danger here that this statement is self-negating and is therefore not logical (law of non-contradiction).

I love how the phantom pops into the room, in the morgan fairchild exposition seen, and just randomly turns around and punches the Raoul character in the face before attacking the mayor. NICE!

I agree with the "cacophony" assessment of Carlotta's moments on stage, but I think that that is more of ALW satirizing opera as in "Poor Fool He Makes Me Laugh." When you described it as "noise" I was reminded of Mozart in Amadeus when he is like "it keeps going, sextet, septet, octet. How long...
