Darklight's mission is to nurture new talent and to create new possibilities for the imagination.
Since its inception, the Darklight Festival has achieved this through cinema, exhibition and performance that has brought new and exciting work to Irish audiences, and through the internet and Touring Programme that has developed Darklight on an international scene. The Darklight Festival Programme is an extensive programme that is comprised of an online presence, a newsletter, year-round touring programme, a biennial film and video festival, music/launch party, research efforts, fundraising/sponsorship, regular exhibitions, kids programme, workshops, conferences and seminars.
