Cheers, that is a lovely compliment. I do admit I have studied English for four years at uni and I'm currently doing my MA in Birmingham, UK.

First, before even listening to "The Real God" video, I like what you wrote. I have thought about it in the way that religion and the identity of a god is a cultural institution like ways of dressing are. To bring up problems with another's religion, they will have a similar reaction to if someone went up to them and criticized the shirt they were wearing. Blue jeans and turbans are just as much a heartfelt, conscious choice as the god people follow. This identity one presents in the way of dress is just as conforming, like making a xerox copy of those that are one's fellows as is the god they identify with. It is not a particularly well thought through process, the decision to affiliate with a religion.But still, no matter how one takes up a set of beliefs like they buy a pair of shoes, they still take on both as a part of their selves if anyone calls out a fault in either. (A little convoluted- been a long day).

Thank you for sticking up for me on that video. Nice to know that for all the trolls on youtube there's at least one or two nice people.
