Now, a little about me:
•I was born in Vegas, but me and my family moved up to the coast a couple years ago. We just couldn't hold onto our house. =/ I really like it up here, though. The scenery is beautiful.
•I am a Christian; but I am NOT a hateful, narrow-minded, Bible-thumping bigot. I may not be 100% on my faith, and I'm certainly no Gandhi when it comes to calling people out on their shit, but I can't stand it when people say someone DESERVES unfair treatment for being gay, for being black, for being a woman, for being a different religion, etc.
Yes I know there's controversial stuff in the Bible, and I'm not saying I agree with all of it. But the CORE message of the faith is about compassion and understanding, and it hurts to know that so many bullheaded "Christians" are tearing other people apart with their judgmental carelessness.
On the other hand, I'm also tired of cynical atheists bashing on any Christian they see, just because they automatically assume that said person IS one of those holier-than-thou zealots. Guess what? I'm not a psychotic fundie, and neither are my Christian friends. That's HARDLY an example of Christianity at its finest. Don't bash on people with different beliefs because of a hasty assumption. I'll gladly respect your beliefs; but please, respect mine.
•I like anime, but I'm no weeaboo; I.E, I don't fangirl over characters to the point of wanting their rape-babies. :]
Some of the series I've watched and enjoyed include: Hetalia, Soul Eater, Trigun, Ruroni Kenshin, Kuroshitsuji, Gurren Lagann, Yu-Gi-Oh (the original series), some Bleach, some FMA, and a little bit of Wolf's Rain.
I do like yaoi, but I detest non-consensuality and fangirls that act like rape is the sexiest/ most KAWAII thing ever. I'm also quite picky about my pairings; Pretty much any Naruto or Yu-Gi-Oh or even SONIC pairing (seriously, wtf fangirls) is out of the question, along with father/son, boys that haven't even hit puberty yet, and typically any pairings with villains.
On that note, fangirls in general creep me the hell out. Seriously. =_= He does NOT belong to you or your character, he does NOT have a gay crush on his best friend/mortal enemy/pet dog; and chances are, he would rather see you get thrown into an asylum than come within fifty feet of you. :]
And that includes fangirls of villains. If you want to be treated as a sane human being, don't keep saying that you WANT to get raped and stabbed and shot in the head by said characters.
Oh, and vampires have NEVER been sexy, kthx. :]
•I'm a proud Whovian. I have my good friend (username banjoeman) to thank; At first it took a while to convince me to watch it, and now I'm just in love. I've even watched quite a few of the old Tom Baker episodes on Netflix, along with a few episodes from the 2nd, 3rd and 5th doctors. I enjoy them all, and while Tennant IS my favorite Doctor, they all have something unique to offer. :)
•Brony for life (well techically for me it's Pegasister, but that just sounds retarded.) I actually watch the show for the sake of enjoying it, not for bashing it or, worse yet, fapping to 'plot'. Fecking /b/ronies.
