Authentic was born August 25, 1986 in New Brunswick, NJ as an only child. His parents divorced when he was around 5. He always struggled with this in his life and turned to music as an outlet. Authentic has been singing since he was 5 years old straight out of the church. He had his 1st solo when he was 5 and blew everyone away with his vocal cabability at such an early age. He was always around the house mimiking other artists and singing in front of whoever wanted to hear him sing. His number one passion for music is R&B and Hip Hop. During his school years, he was always active in all musical activities. He also was in a singing group with his friends called Harmoniously Speaking during high school. He started to learn other types of music (Classical, Musical Theater, Jazz, etc.) including learning harmonies and singing a capella (which is his specialty) in which he would then go to college and major in Music at Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, NJ. In college is where he was mastering his craft and learning all aspects of music performance, business, composing and teaching. Everyone was always amazed at the voice that came out of him. He only stands at 5'5 but can belt out any tune and gets people to hear the gift that God gave him. Unfortunely, his dad was very ill and he left school to help take care of him. Soon after in the same year, his dad passed away due to Cancer in 2003. This was very difficult for him in his life and truly a wake up call for him to grow up fast and become an adult. During that time, he has learned so much about life, struggle, friends and family. He learned that he needs to live for himself and not for others. He went on to work full time as a waiter just to earn enough money to live. He wanted to give up during this time but pushed his way through. Through hard work during those years, he has moved up the corporate ladder and is an Assistant Director in a retirement community for Culinary Services. He always believes that hard work, responsibility and dedication will get you far in life and be successful. Authentic has never given up on his dream. He has been through so many obsticles in his life and wants to share that with the world. He believes that other people have experienced the same type of issues growing up into adulthood and wants to tell his story to the world. You may ask, Why is his name Authentic? Authentic got his name from serfing on the internet and came across Authentic in the dictionary. He was really amazed at what Authentic meant. It means one of a kind, not false or copied, genuine, real and priceless. His voice is definetely authentic and cant be duplicated. He was born a star, went through obsticles in his life and is back to show the world exactly who he is and why he should be in the music industry. So sit back and listen to his story.
