Great job. Did you use Arduino for this project? If so, which board. And did you use the Quadcopter API that's floating around the internet or was this also coded by yourself?

What main-board are you using please. I have projects in mind using Arduino Uni board, etc, but not sure if there would be any advantage in using Robotics Studio with that hardware.

@connormcg Can't you just have the Arduino listen for input from serial (sent by VB), and based on that, perform an operation on the required pins? I hope I'm not missing anything, but it seems quite obvious to me. Get input, check a condition, perform action.
