Sweet, Smart and Refreshing, Danielle Blakey is a Sydney based artist/songwriter, blending together the catchy sensibilities of LA pop with the musical embellishments of Nashville.

Danielle is the winner of the POP award at the 2011 NA2R (New Artists to Radio), one of the most prestigious Radio competitions in Australia.

Danielle will be releasing her first single "FEARLESS" in the coming weeks!

Danielle was also a finalist in the 2011 APRA PDA (Professional Development Awards).

On OurStage.com Danielle has had a #1 and 9 top 10 rankings on the site with her songs "Weight Of Our World", "Closer" and "When It Comes To You/FEARLESS".

Danielle frequently travels to the USA for songwriting trips and promotional tours. Over the last 2 years Danielle has traveled back and forth for meetings and writing sessions with some of the worlds best songwriters in LA, Nashville and NYC. She continues to do this, as collaboration with other writers and artists is what Danielle feels is the way to grow and develop as an artist/writer, continually learning and fine-tuning her skills.

As well as her passion for songwriting, Danielle is a well-seasoned performer.
Performing since the age of 9, having traded her ballet shoes for the microphone, Danielle has honed her craft performing to audiences around the country. A recent highlight was performing for a 9,000 strong crowd at Sydney Olympic Park, paying homage to the Eagles.
Locally, Danielle has performed at some of Sydneys premier venues, Lizottes (Dee Why), The Basement, Notes Live Newtown and the Sydney Entertainment Centre to name a few.
Internationally, Danielle has toured Europe and the US, showcasing her original material to sell out shows and in doing so, created much interest on her last trip with music publishers, record labels and management teams.

Danielle released her self titled debut album independently in 2008, having the first 2 singles: "Driving Song" and "Back Home" receive steady airplay on Australian Country and International Music Radio Stations as well as in the US, UK, Europe and NZ. Reaching Top 10 positions on Australian Country Charts for over 10 weeks.
"Driving Song" is featured on two ABC/Universal Music Compilation Albums released nationally in Australia- "Hit Country Summer Party" (2008) and "Pop Country Girls" (2009). Sharing the CD with some of pop country's hottest stars such as Carrie Underwood, Le Ann Rimes and Jessica Simpson.

Danielle truly is a real artist; one to take very seriously and to keep a look out for in the very near future.
