R.I.P Bill Hasst, director of the Miami Serpentarium.
William E. "Bill" Haast (December 30, 1910-June 15, 2011) is the director of the Miami Serpentarium Laboratories, a facility near Punta Gorda, Florida, which produces snake venom for medical and research use. Haast has been extracting venom from venomous snakes since he was a boy. A sad day in the reptile world. He was 100 years old.
