RIP Streets Ahead. I can't believe this. I haven't heard anything about him for years and out of the blue I googled him this morning and found out he passed away last night. He was one of the original UK scratch mix talents. A part of Hip Hop history.

In Vinyl terms, side 1 of Sheer Heart Attack is possibly the best sequence of rock music ever made.

Nice one. I remember Tim Westwood playing this on pirate radio in London back around 1985. I always thought it was a tape, never knew it was on vinyl.

I remember hearing this song on UK radio when it first came out. I had it on tape but lost it. But I always liked the catchy riff. Never heard it anywhere since but it just jumped into my brain now and I found it. Just like being reunited with an old friend.

Loving this song and all the others I'm hearing on BBC 6 Music today. It's their feature album and deservedly so.

The fusion of musical concepts seems to blend so smoothly. Like a nice cup of chai.

I remember when LL Cool J 's first release came out. I Need a Beat.

I knew then this guy was something special so I went out and got the 12" import. Didn't realise it was the first ever Def Jam record!

That track and this one have some of the best rap lyrics I've ever heard.

That last West Brom goal still ranks as one of my all time favourites. What a match this was!

Not much to add to what others have said but I just think her voice is pure and so strong. One of the vocal talents of the 20th century.
