I didn't have a clue what this song was about back in 1969 when I was 16. I understand it better today.

I remember watching this year after year on a black and white set with rabbit ears to pick up the station and a lot of snow on the screen. Somehow liked it better that way than on a 62" HDTV screen even in color. Same with Rocky & Bullwinkle. We did OK with black and white as kids!
