I think I just died a little inside. I only watched one episode of this when it was on. I was in elementary school and knew it wasn't even CLOSE to as good as the movies then. Now, I can't believe this even got made.

I love Jerry's take on Silent Night. The way he has the strings linger on the line for "sleep in heavenly peace" is sublime, especially in context. The way he was able to adeptly twist the tone of the piece just enough to make it eerie is yet another case of the musical genius he was.

In the movie, the Terminator theme was removed, the synth drum rhythms were mixed down and the sequenced ostinato was brought much higher in the mix. Well yeah, I was just being 100% rigid in my reasoning. I can be an ass sometimes. I don't technically consider it a rip-off if someone just references themself though. As to Horner riffing on Prokofiev and Rachmaninov... That's very open to interpretation.
