He has starred in Broadway's in Tony, Grammy and Pulitzer Prize winning hit: "RENT", (as Benny, over 375 performances. His cast was directed by Original Broadway Cast director Michael Greif and nominated for 8 DORA Awards) and Tim Rice, Elton John's Tony and Grammy award winning hit: "AIDA" (Starring as "Mereb" in the Original Broadway Cast for over 1000 performances).
As a film producer/actor/director as well, his recent hits include Lion's Gates, "Never Surrender" and 7 others). Damian recently co-directed/directed his first two full-length feature films, 2011's "A Voice in the Dark" and "Manic" (He composed the film's music and orchestrations, as well). He has guest-starred on many hit television programs ("CSI-Miami", "Charmed", "Providence", "Family Matters", "The Net", "The Sentinel" and more) and recently starred in the pilot, "Assassins" in 2011 and has over 20 National Commercials to his credit. In all, he has done over 2000 live stage performances and has performed and been interviewed on many national talk shows, (Including "The Today Show" and "The Rosie O'Donnell Show").
In addition to directing over 30 productions he has trained and mentored many young actors, singers and dancers for over 16 years and founded several successful theater groups.
Finally, he is also a fine artist and his work is owned by celebrities and private collectors throughout Japan, Canada, and the US.
Damian also feels a strong love for his fellow man, and has disseminated to thousands of people on subjects of drug education, study technology and increasing one's own responsibility to help others as an artists. He has been a spokesperson for The Drug-free Marshals, The Way to Happiness Foundation, Equity Fights AIDS, and the LA AIDS Project and has worked with many under-privileged and abused children and homeless organizations, and in all has donated thousands of hours to philanthropic causes.
He also shares in an ensemble Grammy award, ("Best Original Broadway Cast Recording" for AIDA).
