Dominick Fernow is not nearly as animated and dance-y as he was at Pitchfork. Such a good performance, and for my singing along, I got a wave from Wesley Eisold. Terrific goth-pop, though this is one of the least compelling numbers on the album.

a small, timely, and powerful film. an allegory for the 'new economy' and a microscopic look at its withering effects on have-nots.

also, the album is darkly humorous. Surreal, but not that disembodied to be completely esoteric.

um, crystal stilts come to mind as spiritual compatriots. but CS are much more explicitly psych-rock. recommended - 'prismatic room'.
