I wish a really talented director would take on Lovecraft.
I don't think Stuart Gordon is a hack or anything, but rather than the subtle horror of Lovecraft he just goes for buckets of gore, something I don't find scary in the least.
Also, the guy playing the main character is cringe-worthy.
