1984 NBC Game of the Week Intro

Introduction of NBC's game of the week circa 7-7-84. 1st place Cubs (who would go on to the playoffs) @ San Francisco Giants.

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Only those in the state of Illinois and the entire west coast saw this game because the taped-delayed version of the Wimbledon's women's finals occured. The rest of the nation saw a live women's tennis final and then were sent to watch "An Inside Look" and then games either where Vin Scully or B...

Jim McMahon body slammed by Charles Martin Bears Packers 1986

Charles Martin, one of the dirtiest players in NFL history was suspended for two games for this season-ending injury to Chicago Bears starting quar...

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Today, the NFL takes this very seriously. The late-Charles Martin was a prelude against targeting opponents against the ball. Years later Commissioner Roger Goddell, Paul Tagliabue, and the league did a real job against this, although this is an extreme contact sport.

Sammy Hagar - Remember The Heroes (Live 1983)

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

This should have been the official music video of Sammy Hagar's "Remember The Heroes". The video "Your Love Is Driving Me Crazy" was aired on MTV and on VH1 years ago and it was on that concert that he performed that same official video.

    Remember the Heroes- Sammy Hagar

I was looking around today and noticed that nobody had this song (studio version). So here is Sammy Hagar's epic 80's power ballad, Remember the He...

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Years ago, MTV and VH1 should have aired a non-conceptual video of "Remember The Heroes". It can be seen on YouTube by typing in Sammy Hagar Remember The Heroes 1983. Nevertheless, I agrree with you. VH1 Classic should have aired this some weeks ago.

Ray Parker Jr - The Other Woman ( Very Rare Clip Version 2 Like A Vampire ) by Sergio Luna.VOB

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

MTV chose not to air this video because of the interracial content. However, five years later, John Mellencamps music video aired a controversial video involving an African-American male dancing with a white female. Ironically, producers opted to underlight the couple so that one might not dist...

NFL - 1972 St. Louis Cardinals @ Miami Dolphins MNF [1/2]

A classic MNF game featuring the St. Louis (Now Arizona) Cardinals paying a vist to the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins, would famously go undefeated ...

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Miami fans can now watch this game that was blacked out even though it was played before a sell-out Orange Bowl crowd. Local fans could see this game as the Miami Dolphins trouncing the then-St. Louis football Cardinals.

Green Bay Packers Snow Bowl game 1985

Packers defeat Bucs and Steve Young in a blizzard.......

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Jim Hill of KCBS-LA would be honored as the one who called the Bucs-Packers game, seen only in parts of Florida and all of Wisconsin, during the Snow Bowl.

1975 AFC Championship - Oakland Raiders vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

    from january 4,1976

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Because the turf in Pittsburgh's Three River Stadium were littered with frozen ice where players struggled to maintain traction while running across the field, why not rename this the "Ice Skate Bowl".

    1990 Raiders v. Bengals Playoff Wrap-Up

Bo Jackson 6 carries 77 yds , in his only playoff appearance and final game as a Raider . Marcus Allen 21 carries 140 yds in in last great game as ...

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

It would have been better that this game was blacked out in L.A. because on that game Bo Jackson suffered an NFL ending career injury much to the bittersweet victory over the Bengals. This would be the final postseason game before nearly two decades of the "Bungles" era and won't enjoy the "Who ...

Elise helps Paul win Hell's Kitchen season 9 - check it out ! ! !

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

What makes the Red Sox-Yankees, Cowboys-Redskins, Bruins-Canadiens, Cardinals-Cubs, and the Celtics-Lakers battle boil down to? The Elise-Carrie rivalry. I would love to see these two go against one another in a cameo appearance in the subsequent Hell's Kitchen. Or better, put these two agains...

1986 NBC Game of the Week Open

This was the opening theme for NBC's MLB Game of the Week telecasts in 1986.

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

One of the most famous moments for NBC's Game of the Week occurred in early 1988 when Jose Lind of the Pittsburgh Pirates managed to leap over analyst Joe Garagiola. Could someone show me that clip? That would be amazing to watch.

NFL - 1983 New York Giants @ Atlanta Falcons [1/2]

Thanks for the support Falcons fans!

This one is a classic, the Falcons have a defensive Duel with the Giants, but the Giants barely squeaked out ...

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Jack Buck (St. Louis Cardinals -- baseball), Vin Scully (Los Angeles Dodgers), and Curt Gowdy (Boston Red Sox) all had one thing in common. They both called MLB games for specific teams and yet announced NFL games. They were not as bad and my hats off to them.

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

That year, the J-E-T-S fell short of a winning record; the next season they advanced to the postseason only to fall against the Patriots. The Giants turned themselves around from a dismal last place finish the prior year; Bill Parcells was at his first season as head coach.

I love the music and the 1982 music video, but I don't condone the content of the title of the song for it produces and implies the term **** (expletive term).

This was the opening theme for NBC's Game of the Week telecasts in 1985.

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

I wish there was an intro clip from Major League Baseball: An Inside Look for YouTube to see. A piece of Bill Macatee, now with CBS, anchored this up until 1985. Perhaps those in the states of Ohio and New York were able to see this game because back then Bob Costas and Tony Kubek called this a...

This was the opening theme for NBC's NFL telecasts in 1985.

    DalekPlague DalekPlague commented:

Sadly, no one in the L.A. area was able to see this live game on TV because it has been blacked out for the L.A. Coliseum hardly sold out most games. This clip enable L.A. fans in the local area on the YouTube to see this; just a tiny blessing for those in Tinseltown.
