デイルはイギリス出身のブルースハープも操るアコースティックギタリストである。エリック・ローシェに直接師事し、またトーマス・リーブやミュリエル・アンダーソン、ドミニク・ミラー、アントニオ・フォーション、ガスリー・ゴバンなどの開催するマスタークラスにも参加。
2009年には彼の2枚目のアルバムであり初のソロアルバムともなる「How The Light Gets In 」がiTunesを通じて全世界でリリース。デイルはギター教師として、教えていた経験を活かして、自分の演奏技術に基づく有名な教則ビデオをシリーズで作っていて、ポッドキャストやYoutubeを通じても多くを無料で観る事ができる。彼の演奏スタイルは独特で、実際にライブで彼の指や手がギターの上を飛び回り、叩いたり、タップしたりスラップしたり、かき鳴らしたり、つまびいたりなど、あらゆる方法で音を鳴らす奏法には目を見張るものがある。彼のパフォーマンスでは、オリジナル曲に加え、「Billie Jean」や「She Drives Me Crazy 」「Zombie」などをアレンジしたものも演奏のレパートリーに入っている。
