About this user

I have two horses, Dakota and Beauty. Most of my videos will be about them, although my dogs and goats will also make regular appearances.

Beauty is a 14 year old registered Quarter horse. Although she used to be a rodeo horse, when I rescued her in January 2008 she had been neglected and forgotten. She was underweight, had a dull coat, hooves that were badly in need of a trim, and the saddest eyes I've ever seen. With a lot of time, effort, and TLC, I got her healthy again and am currently retraining her. She is still hyper with too much "go" and not enough "whoa", but she has come a long way and I'm proud of her. I hope to eventually be able to barrel race her, but she's not ready yet. Maybe someday. In the meantime I'm enjoying having a project horse and am content with knowing that I gave a sweet, beautiful horse a second chance and a much better life. That's good enough for me.

Dakota is my other horse. He is a 21 year old QH/Saddlebred. I bought him on May 26th, 2007. He's my trail horse and my best friend, not necessarily in that order. I ride him bareback most of the time, but also western and we've just started learning English. He's the sweetest and most lovable horse ever, and the biggest goofball.

The other loves in my life are my dogs, Mika and Chance. Lab/Collie/Golden Retreiver mix puppies. Their mother Cassy and sister Gabby also have a special place in my heart.

My animals, my family, my land, and my freedom is everything to me. It's all this country girl needs.
