Dakira Ave consists of three bright, bubbly and beautiful young ladies that were raised by happily married hardworking folks that walked the straight and narrow, affording them modest lifestyles in the quiet upper echelon suburbs of West Orange, New Jersey.
What's amazing about these girls is their mysterious ability to maintain the heart of the dove while flaming in the eye of the tiger. Dakira Ave unified is smooth yet powerful, tender yet pulsating, relaxed yet electrifying. Neither opposing the other, they walk equivocally yoked in both beauty and craft, defying artistic prediction as they tease the parameters of R&B with blended overtones from what would be considered conflicting genres of music. They really bring something special to the yard, a different vibe, a fresh appeal and just what today's audience needs to experience a vehicle that heals the perception that has injured the power of being a lady to die for, if not to become in such a predictable industry. They are not a product of the rules given rather a product of new rules created. Dakira will inspire girls to be girls, ladies to be ladies and to take it a step further they will compel young men through their delivery, essence and music to bring their "A" game. Young at heart, tender in age but ahead of their time in vision. Dakira Ave brings a myriad of experiences to a diverse selection of multi tempo grooves thru crazy word play, heartfelt vocals and energetic tracks.
It was during high school when they discovered their common thread which was music. Danika would be considered the nucleus of the group as she brought them all together and with Kim's energy and spontaneity coupled with Rachel's drive and determination, these girls have been going strong and making moves every step of the way. Look out for Dakira Ave, the new face of R&B Soul.
