UPDATE: https://twitter.c...
Casey D Hudson, the executive Producer on the ME series has tweeted about this:
"It takes about 3 months from "content complete" to bug-fix, certify, manufacture, and ship game discs. In that time we work on DLC."
"DLC has fast cert and no mfg., so if a team works very hard, they can get a DLC done in time to enjoy it with your 1st playthrough on day 1."
"On #ME3, content creators completed the game in January & moved onto the "From Ashes" DLC, free w/ the CE or you can buy seperately."
After the game was finished and certified, the team moved onto the DLC. There is no certification process for that, so they were able to finish it in time for launch day and include it in the CE for free - that's the official statement.
For more, check his twitter: https://twitter.c...
Assume 3 months for working on that DLC is correct - why would they give that to us for free? I sure as hell wouldn't give you three months of my (work) time for free.
Flame on!
Also, further discussion going on at Bioware's social site: http://social.bio...
190+ pages as of this moment of back and forth. If the comments here or on TB's video aren't enough for you, feel free to pay that thread a visit too.
I was planning on making a follow-up video to clear up some of the misconceptions about mine or TB's points, but somehow I doubt that'll do this any good so I'll just let it sink in for a bit.

I'm not even getting into any other arguments, like the generally steep prices of video games as of late and/or the random communist comment trolling that is being upvoted on his video.
If you didn't see his video, see it first: http://www.youtub...
Fact is: he doesn't know what's in the game or the DLC and instead of judging the game by it's actual content, he produces a video with 150k+ views telling people not to buy it, because the developer produces a DLC at the same time as the core game.
I'd much rather have the ability to pay an extra $10 and get more of a particular storyline than to buy the game, realize that it doesn't satisfy my thirst for story and be depressed about it. Can't make everyone happy, right? Well, now they can. That's why DLC exists in the first place.
Yes, his point is "it was deliberately cut from the game to make money" - he doesn't know this. And if he does, he should probably reveal his source. And even then he should judge the final game based on what it actually is, not what he thinks it will be.
Oh well.

Yea, that was a great movie. I'm all for Restoring the United States of America. Most politicians have repeatedly committed treasonous acts by destroyed our inalienable rights from the Constitution.
