im not being a crictic here but this is what your gets your tarantula killed. Soap is never the option. Use hot water, or lemon juice. The lemon juice is a natural cleaner and kills bacteria and is safe on the habitat. And the sponge will build up mold and kill your tarantula, use cricket quench...

well if its night, this is normal.it is nocturnal. If it sometimes comes out side in the day as well once in a while. What kinda of you heat do you use?. A heat mat used for arachnids and reptiles? That is an appropriate type of heat they need.
