Ann Williams was a superb daytime serial actress. She was Eunice on "Search for Tomorrow" from 1966-76 then on The Edge of Night from 1978 to 1980 as Margo. Left us far too soon in 1985. R.I.P. Ann.

How come the show only lasted two seasons? It's a shame. Hope Lange and Edward Mulhare had great chemistry.

I still love watching this scene around Christmas time. Nobody can touch Judy Garland's performance of this song. The scene afterwards touches me every time.

I was so fortunate to see them live on broadway in August 1998 in the original run of "Ragtime". Broadway performers don't come much better than Audra McDonald and Brian Stokes Mitchell.

The show may have originally aired almost 50 years ago but the gentle humor mixed in with a message about caring about family and friends is timeless. One of my favorite episodes. Thank you for posting it.

Unbelievably wonderful show. It's a shame they can't give Tony Awards to performers who didn't originate the roles in the revival. Reba would have easily walked off with the Tony.

Now I understand why Reba got such kudos for her performance in "Annie Get Your Gun" when she took over the leading role in the broadway revival several years ago. Her rendition of this song is wonderful.

The finale alone justified Barbra winning the Oscar although her performance in the entire movie was beyond incredible. To say she is one of a kind is an understatement.

One of the best songs in musical history performed by two of the best performers in movie musicals. Saw it for the first time some 40 plus years ago and it is timeless, touching and ultimately heartbreaking.
