Would have loved to see these two characters merged. American Badass Undertaker removed all the stupid hocus pocus and turned him into a human...a badass one mind you. Now the return of the Deadman as a pale rider type of character, would have been perfect.

Well they did the A Little Light Music live album mainly in response that Tull was not 'big enough' for their Unplugged series. Tull went to them and were all in for it but MTV wanted "bigger names". And I'm sure Tull could have pulled a "Dude Looks Like A Lady" type song if needed LOL

The other guitarist is Florian Ophale, a pretty young guy and what I've heard is pretty good. Still, with a TAAB anniversary tour coming I was hoping it would be a Tull tour and not an Ian tour but if he comes I'll still go. Wonder if he was inspired by Roger Daltrey's "Tommy" tour or Roger Wat...

eh...they looked best with the t-shirt and the first bra. That said, if you are doing them up like that, people are gonna look, some will stare, and that was what you wanted. If people do any more than that to you then it's on them.

Not sure this would have worked with Fagen's more 'upbeat' voice, probably why he didn't sing it in the studio. Becker does it fine, and the overall musical performance is better here as well. Wonder if Becker wrote the original lyrics on this one?

That was an excellent show. Stripped down sound but powerful. You have video of 'Dirty City' from that show? My best moment was when he grabbed his guitar and started that one.

Wish they were doing this bill in the States. SD is great, and I saw Winwood last year and what he lacks in flash he doesn't with music. And if you want to hear a good Winwood song that you probably haven't heard, look up 'Dirty City'

@GAKIIIIIN well not quite banned...Lawler uses one in his occasional matches, but since Owen Hart botched a tombstone on Steve Austin (Austin was never the same in the ring after that), only Undertaker and Kane can use a tombstone and both do so sparingly, usually opting for chokeslams.

This is one of my favorites...I take it as a speakeasy/stripclub/brothel type of place, but yeah it's probably a drug reference. I got the same buzzkill when I saw the explanation of Time Out Of Mind.

Some people were thrown off because they played very little of their own songs but you could tell they were having fun on this tour. Was glad to catch it in KC.

The funkiest part is somebody running across stage to tell them to stop due to the storm and Fagen waving them off because he was gonna finish that encore dammit

The radio stations back in the Bill Clinton era would joke by playing Pink Floyd's 'Cigar'....this song would have worked better.

Well really...it was for both hard rock and heavy metal, and this is certainly a hard rock song, though most of the still excellent album was not. They probably got the category due to Aqualung, which in 1971 was as metal an album as many.

Still deciding if this or Paging Audrey is my favorite from this album. Either way, I always thought this was perfect for a video. In fact, many of these shots would make my final cut...but would want some shots of Walter and a small band playing in a club and some actors acting the parts fro...
