Kirk D. McLemore Biography

Kirk McLemore has work in the Television industry over 10 years. He received his Bachelor's degree from Video Technical Institute in Long Beach Ca. Fresh out of college he joined CNN as an EFP/ENG photographer working shows like The Larry
King Live, Show Biz Live etc. After several years with CNN he joined CBS NETWORK as a news photojournalist, covering news stories and features around the world. He then moved on to become a Staff News Photojournalists and Aerial Photographer / Editor for KCOP UPN News-13 / KTTV FOX-11 covering breaking news stories and special features. He received numerous certificates and award nominations for News Photojournalism, Director of Photographer (DP), Videographer and Aerial Photography including: Five Emmys, Golden Mike Award, Bill Stout Award and also a Mark Twain Award. All for various outstanding news stories, short stories, and special production projects.

Prior to coming to FOX/ UPN, he held other various positions with KCBS in Los Angeles and as a news photographer / microwave technician / editor where he covered dangerous news stories from coast to coast. Also positions include, KCAL TV-CH-9 in Los Angeles as an ENG Photographer / Master control tech., Fox Channel as an EFP Photographer covering NBA games, ABC sports as an EFP camera Operator during live NFL football games. Also RTL German Television - Documentary on the Rodney King story in LA that received a RBLA Award. He also covered the tragic Northridge earthquake in California.

Kirk Directed / DP the outstanding documentary title: Rough Riders and Black Cowboy Legends made for television. He worked in the entertainment and production arena as a Director and Technical Director covering live concerts comedy shows and corporate events. Also a variety of P.S.A's (public service announcement) and E.P.K's (electronic press kit) promotional videos and fashion shows for various companies. Kirk also has a working relationship with company's like --KRIV FOX-26, KPRC NBC-2, KHOU CBS-11, KTRK ABC-13, BET TV, DISNEY, STAGE DIRECTIONS Houston, TX., WESTWOOD ONE- (METRO VIDEO NEWS-TX), AUDIO VISUAL HQ in LA, UCLA / M.L.K Medical Centers.

Kirk also believes in giving back to the community where he taught and directed a video production workshop for Youthful Pacing Video Workshop a nonprofit organization for inter-city youth. Projects include student P.S.A's, Short stories and Youth awareness videos.

Kirk also has his A.A.S. degree in Video Electronics from Los Angeles City College, and has been certified as an electronic technician, along with Telecommunications Prep Courses in High School.
