DAVID DANILOFF brings passion to independent film festival and music circuits.
Dave thanks previous years of managing Toronto's award-winning independent video chain QUEEN VIDEO, for opening doors.
Now with DANILOFF PRODUCTIONS, Dave provides valuable experience and expertise to film and music festivals. Dave does this through original promotional concepts, event marketing, special events, celebrity representation, public relations, and publicity, involving various film directors, producers, actors, and musicians.
Dave's film related coups include independently producing various appearances including legendary arthouse/cultfilm maker ALEJANDRO JODOROWSKY (El Topo, Holy Mountain, Santa Sangre), infamous cult-film actor and director CRISPIN GLOVER (Back to the Future, Willard, River's Edge), and Academy Award nominated, and Golden Globe winning film iconoclast KAREN BLACK (Five Easy Pieces, Easy Rider, Family Plot).
Most recently Dave co-produced a special event with Rue Morgue for the inventor of the modern Zombie film, GEORGE A. ROMERO (Night of the Living Dead, Dawn of the Dead, Creepshow).
In the film world Dave has also worked briefly and/or conspired at one time or another with... Robert Taicher, Allan Moyle, Lloyd Kaufman, Stuart Samuels, Roger Corman, Marilyn Manson, Nikki Nichols, Dario Argento, GWAR, Coralina Tassoni, Rob Zombie, Maurizio Guarini, Bruce Campbell, and many more.
Dave's secondary passion is for music event marketing, production, bookings, promotion, and management that have seen him work with a unique and wide range of acclaimed North American music groups and solo artists, including: Salvador Dream, David Brockie from GWAR, Maurizio Guarini from Goblin, Jeff Scheven from Controller Controller, Pure, Big Rude Jake, The Matadors, Kevin Hearn from Barenaked Ladies, Wax Mannequin, Youth Brigade, Cub, Betty Moon, Richard Underhill from Shuffle Demons, Eugene Chadbourne from Captian Beefheart, Jimi Carl Black from the Mothers of Invention, Great Bob Scott, Chris Gartner, Longo Hai, and Jaymz Bee from Look People, Mary Margaret O'Hara, Jono Grant, Stolen Babies, Ulver, and many more.
