WHAT IS LOVE ??...

Love is to wake in the middle of the night in a dark room, after a bad dream, and KNOWING that your not alone.... feeling the warmth of the one you love by your side... Love is KNOWING he will be there in good times and bad, love is feeling ALIVE when you wake each and every day. Love is laughter, smiles tears and hugs, and also being as daft as you want, as serious as you need to be and as giddy as you wish with out being judged. Love is also knowing that he will be stood by your side, feeling proud to be with you despite you looking your worst, Love is honesty and trust in all that is said and done. Love is knowing that your opinion counts as much as his, Love is knowing that he will sit up till 3 am explaining the off side rule to you or talking you through your course work for uni when he has to be up early the next day for a test of his own. Love is this...... exactly what I HAVE right now...
And to know your loved is awesome....
I realised just how much one day after being ill/sore for a few days, moaning and whining on the phone etc... talking via text and wanting to be face to face instead,.... looking at train times, looking at hotels etc, AND THEN reading a text that said I WILL BE ONLINE in 2 mins,... Getting ALL HAPPY as you are going to talk with him for a while before he needs to go do his stuff and before he gets some sleep for the evening,.. only to hear a knock on the door, deciding...do i open the door or start the PC to talk to him.... door is the chosen thing to do, and choose to do it asap.....
Down the stairs 2 at a time, fumble with the keys to unlock the door,... Look through spy hole, and NO ONE is there ,.. in the front of my mind is,.. oh nooo I am missing the pc call with "him"... BUT I open the door and THERE HE STANDS!!!!!! MASSIVE smile on his face, and all I could do was say " You bastard"!!! I filled up with tears ,.. but HAPY tears... Even the pain i was in subsided for a little while as i stood there in shock at the fact he had tricked me and just turned up, hangover and all LOL
So THIS TO ME IS LOVE!!!
NOT gifts, not materialistic gestures and NOT flashing cash to impress..... after all I would rather have a post it note on the fridge saying " I Love you" oppose to a bag of gold or diamonds....
To have a hot bath run, candles lit and my towel warmed means MORE to me that a gift of platinum or gold too.
And I would like to add, this great man, my friend partner and now my fiance popped the question on bended knee on my birthday while on a few days break in Amsterdam...Hense the SUNFLOWERS on my background. we had just spent the most amazing morning in the Van Gogh Museum before walking along Amstel Cannal where he found the perfect spot and blew me away with the best kept surprise I have ever known.... a proposal of marriage on bended knee on my birthday..hed planned it months ago and i was clueless .... But now im walking about with a MASSIVE smile on my face and in my heart :)
