Dj Red-G is 100% Latino, both parents from Ecuador & ancestry from Colombia and Spain. Born in Jamaica, Queens, raised in Brooklyn since the age of 2, he's always representing the streets. Red-G is a person that enjoys every type of music. It doesn't matter if its Cumbia, Salsa, Bachata, Jazz, Hip-Hop, R&B, Dancehall or Reggaeton, he enjoys it all. You could tell Red-G truly has love for music when you hear his mixes. Always changing the sound and mixing genres together keeps his mixes fresh. You know its an official mix by Dj Red-G when you hear his trademark calling, "GGGGG-MixXxXxX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! on everyone of his works. From a young age, he would always be around his cousins who were dj's and dj's from around the neighborhood. During the summer time he would be amazed by what the dj at parties thrown at the park would be doing. Everything changed for him from the time he heard Funk Master Flex on NYC's HOT 97. The way Flex would mix & cut records & kept it hype was all that Red-G needed to say, Thats what I want to do." He would use his fathers records & old stereo to imitate Funk Master Flex. Finding a way to save up enough money, by the age of 14 he bought his own dj system. Buying mixtapes of other dj's and listening to Flex on the radio made him practice after school every chance possible. With influences from other dj's in different genres makes Red-G a well rounded dj. Today, he dj's private parties and events, occasionally releasing mixtapes for promo use only. He is also the dj for Hip-Hop artist D-Black. As he always say's, "This is only the beginning of the takeover!"
