The beginning

I fell in love with dance music in the 80s i can still remember hearing my very first street sounds electro track Hashim "Al Naafiysh (The Soul)"
from that point on i was hooked,i started collecting records in the early 90s.i have got a large collection spanning decades from electro / hiphop&all types of house music, italian/acid/tribal/minimal house,early piano oldskool rave/happy hardcore/lots of dnb new&old.
,i was lucky enough to witness the birth of the rave scene,
I got my first set of 1210s in 1992 & still use the same decks today,from that moment on i practiced like mad until taught myself how to beatmix & scratch,i soon found myself playing @ local underground illegal house parties all over derby area.one thing led to another and i started to get warm up slots in night clubs and bars in derby such has The Lo Club,,Wherehouse,,Havana club,,saddlers bar,,Future club,,101 bar,,just to name a few.
I Then started to play on pirate radio , i use to play on Star Fm,Freedom radio,sonic fm,& a few others @ this point the early rave scene was well established every penny i had went on vinyl my local record shops were BPM & Spot on sounds,both based in derby,also tuff records notts & 5 hq in leicester .

My first big break came when i got asked to support The Prodigy on there gilted generation album tour in 1994 ,i surpose this was & still is my favourite gig so far.
back then i can remember playing infront of about 1300 people - i played a mixture of underground house,early happy hardcore,oldskool.dnb.. i remember hooking up to there 40k pa mountain of speakers,i met them all & i played for about 2 hrs.words cant explain the buzz this gave me.

After this i found myself @ progress recording studio doing scratch samples for a hiphop crew & a rapper called mckeith,who went on and released a few cds.
During the mid 90s i discovered the VW beetle & camper festival scene .

We then set up our own club nights in derby linked to the vw scene ,we ran a oldskool night @ derbys future club&101 bar in derby.
The late 90s we started doing car shows
Ive met some crazy people over the years & had some crazy nights djing its been an amazing journey,and i never want it to end.
when you have played to a large crowd and controlled there buzz it is the ultimate most natural high there is.
these days i mostly just mix for fun, i still play out sometimes when i can-i currently work full time now so djing is just a hobby in my spare time,
i have recently started getting into production im currently learning how to create my own tracks.
