About this user

Michael "M-Squared" McPherson was born in Brooklyn, New York and raised in Orlando, FL. Internationally renowned as one of the worlds finest DJ's, sought after by A-List Celebs, Fashion Designers, Pro Athletes and various Corporate Brands. Known for his eclectic, sophisticated and passionate sound and style. M-Squared's energetic live performances ,extraordinary attention to detail and commitment to quality, keep him in high demand. Recent career highlights include Touring to Dubai with Grammy Award Winning superstar Kelly Rowland as her Official DJ. In addition, he is featured on the cast of the national reality television series Master of the Mix Season 2 presented by Smirnoff.

Michael's interest in music started at an early age. As a young boy he joined the school band as a drummer and created mixes using a dual cassette deck as his turntables, until finally earning his first pair of Technics going into college. While rocking parties thru his college years at Florida Atlantic University, Michael completed an extensive internship with Universal Music Group and graduated with a degree in International Business. Ready for the world, Michael decided to pursue his passion as a creative artist and began DJ'ing and making a name for himself on the club scene and honing his skills as a music producer.

Winning the 2010 USA Red Bull Thre3style National Championship was the next stage in Michael's career ascent. He has earned high regards and acclaim from musical icons like DJ Jazzy Jeff and Questlove, who are some of his own influences. Since being crowned as the #1 Party Rock DJ in the US, Michael has headlined performances in Paris, France at the Elysee Montmartre, at the SXSW Festival (South by Southwest) in Austin, TX, and at LIV Nightclub in Miami Beach. Michael also performs at some of the most exclusive events around the world, where you can spot the likes of LL Cool J, Lebron James, and Jonathan Cheban on the dance floor grooving to his mixes. Michael's clientele includes Tommy Hilfiger, Guess by Marciano, Maxim Magazine, Crown Royal, Dwight Howard, Idris Elba, Kevin Antunes plus many others and is also endorsed by Monster Cable.

In addition to DJ'ing and music production. Michael's interest include developing television projects and various aspects of the entertainment genre. Michael continues to pursue his business endeavors with great zeal and looks forward to continued great accomplishments. As Michael's philosophy says, "Let the music speak for itself"as he continues to Design the Mood.
