About this user
Since the year 2002, I had become a big fan of club music. That was also the time when I wanted to become a DJ. It wasn't meant to be, until 2006 that's when I started as a DJ.
It was never easy, all the time I was a teenager. At that time I never really knew what I wanted to be. Even though out my teens. I remember I wanted to be a cartoonist, even some sort of sea care person or something like that.
It's funny really; my mum always said I had the perfect hands for playing the piano, so I started to learn to play the keyboard. Now thinking about it I kind of wish I got a bit more better. In 2003, me, my mum and my little bro went off with some guy my mum met, to his homeland, South Africa. Yeah we did a lot and I mean a lot of travelling. A few months before that I had my birthday in America, that's when I started to like house music, but not as much as I do now.
Anyways, two weeks after I had my birthday in 2006 I got my decks. I remember my first live set not rehearse nothing. I played a club classics set and that's when I knew that I was meant to be a DJ. At my and my sister's joint birthday party. Then I started to get to work on my DJing skills, at the time I didn't really know what I was doing. Not until I met a mate of my sister. Her mate really helped, with timing and all that. I didn't start to learn how to beat match till a house we had in South Africa in 2007, by that time I had already played in a bar over there.
I also met a DJ and chilled with him while he was playing a live set I didn't really liked his style, drinking booze while doing a set. In January 2008, me and my bro came back over to the U.K. Moved down the country a little to a village that where I met a dude who helped me put together a mix CD, Not a great mix, but still a mix.
Then after that, moved to Cornwall now I have moved up from Cornwall. Right now I'm trying to give my mixes the edge with some melody and beat matching, but also with some cutting as well. I'm also looking into radio work and producing, always liked the idea of making my own songs. I play all sorts of music, anything from chart music to all types of dance and house. I even play UK garage and hardcore.
