DJ Fricktion knew his calling at age 11, the moment Jazzy Jeff was thrown out of the family Mansion for scratching up Uncle Phil's classic soul records in the 90's TV hit show 'The Fresh Prince of Bel Air'. This inspired a campaign to convince his parents to combine that year's birthday and christmas presents, and buy him some second hand turntables and a mixer. DJ Fricktion has continued to be a resourceful and innovative artist to this day, with a reputation as strong in the industry as it is in the clubs across the UK and worldwide. Playing to over thousands of people per week, Fricktion has earnt respect amongst his peers and gained a loyal following that come to see him perform on a regular basis.

DJ Fricktion is best known as the DJ of choice for the upper echelon of major Hip Hop and RnB artists, including The Game, Busta Rhymes, Ne-Yo, Omarion, Ryan Leslie, Lloyd Banks (G-Unit), 112, Timbaland and was subsequently chosen by Ginuwine to DJ with the legendary RnB star during a concert performance.

Fricktion is a former DJ for Def Jam UK having spun at album launch parties for the likes of Jay-Z, Ne-Yo, Mariah Carey and subsequently dressing up as the Kanye West bear mascot at Def Jam's Launch Party for "The Late Registration" where he spun in costume.

His breadth and commitment to DJ'ing and DJ culture is no less than astounding. His tours, ranging from across the UK, to Greece, Los Angeles and India, with host MC Raj Lovesoul, have resulted in electrifying high energy shows, with indoor fireworks, big screens and fans overseas showing huge appreciation to their favourite DJ. His mixtapes have shifted in excess of 10,000 copies and have featured the likes of Grammy Nominated Chris Brown, Panjabi MC and Russell Peters and more recently releasing "The Golden Chamber Mixtape" hosted by all members of the infamous Wu Tang Clan. The tape mixed by DJ Fricktion and compiled in a collaborative effort with the Lovesoul DJs provides a snapshot of the groundbreaking songs that formed the rise of the Wu along with other classic cuts from that era.

Having received over 250,000 downloads and flawless reviews by rap critics from the likes of XXL Magazine, Rap Radar and HipHopGame.Com to name just a few, The Golden Chamber Mixtape is being dubbed as one of the greatest old school hip hop compilations by fans worldwide and media specialists including received kudos from original Wu members, Raekwon, Method Man and The RZA.

With a personal collection of over 18,000 records, combined with the ability to perform to various crowds by incorporating Scratch and Beat Juggling Skills, Fricktion established himself as a major player in the DJ Circuit during an 18 month stretch on London's Kiss 100 as part of the Rishi Rich Project. He also accepted an invitation to tutor at the UK's most successful and longest running DJ School, The DJ Academy, a position he is particularly proud of as it allows him to pass down so much he has learnt to young people starting out in music.

His unique beats with heavy instrumentation and thumping kick drums has gained him praise from artists such as The RZA, Ryan Leslie, Jean Grae, Kool G Rap, NORE, Bishop Lamont, Ya Boy, Joell Ortiz and Crooked I, the latter both being members of the newly formed hip hop group; Slaughterhouse.

Ryan Leslie said it best, when referring to DJ Fricktion's commitment to actually producing and remixing records. Ryan, a mega-producer for huge RnB anthems by Beyonce, Britney Spears and New Edition, spoke to the BBC about how hot DJ Fricktion's remix of Cassie's 'Me n U' was. A great comment as Ryan has produced the original!

His persistence and determination to make his mark as a producer hasn't gone unnoticed. Coming back off a recent DJ tour in LA and New York, Fricktion had the opportunity to showcase his beats live on air on LA's Power 106 on The Wake Up Show. His beats were played to an audience of over 11 million listeners and he received a positive critique by the show's main host; King Tech who has played an influential part in the rise of a number of established hip hop artists to date.

Forwarding this, Fricktion has the opportunity to further showcase his beats to the legendary artist and producer; The RZA of the infamous hip hop group the Wu Tang Clan. The RZA invited Fricktion into his home and praised his production skills and insisted on collaborating with him. After brainstorming a few ideas, the tracks "Hip Hop Love" and "Alchemy" were created with RZA providing a verse and hook for both records.

With clothing endorsements, media tie ins and tours across the US, Asia and Australia, DJ Fricktion has proved to be focused on reaching the top of the ladder as both a DJ and producer.
