This is awesome. Thanks for all the info guys!
Really disappointed to see NI is gearing the Maschine 2 software more toward studio production. I was hoping to see them add more live performance aspects, so we would see more cool stuff like this going around.
Good quick and concise tutorial. It would be helpful if you would play a little bit between changing parameters in massive, so we can hear what each change does to the sound.
Funny, my bassist was talking about building something like this since he started working on EDM with me.
You should be working for dubspot. Their videos on this kind of stuff are garbage.
I remixed the remix and it was back to the original....
I am fond of the idea of being able to slide up and down the neck, the trade off however is that the potential for rich chords and pads is no longer am option. I think it would be wise to cater to musicians that want to be able to play more than wobbley resonance basses...
So, this is the asshole responsible for me having to build those ridiculous stage sets. You almost killed me, TWICE!!! But I admire your work.
Do you ever synthesize the low end? I've been trying that lately, but having an issue getting the transient right with the ADSR envelope.
I also second this. Especially the EDM that people are producing of late, has a serious lack of melody and harmony. All the harmonics are in layered synth patches, that eat up the entire sound spectrum. I think it's about time people got back to writing music in a more classical sense.
