Amanda Mazzanti is a social justice documentary filmmaker who received a B.A. in Multimedia Communications from California State University, Sacramento and a graduate certificate from Berkeley Digital Film Institute (BDFI) in Directing/Producing. Amanda directed and edited the documentary, Mind, Body, & Music (60min), which screened at CSUS in 2006. In that same year, Amanda directed and edited the short format documentary, Living with Wolfram Syndrome(22min), which was web broadcast. In November 2007, Ms. Mazzanti founded Digitalady LLC, and established a niche producing creative content for Independent and Non-Profit Organizations across the nation. Some of her clients include: SHE Institute, which educates women and girls about how to be safer, healthier and economically independent; Mission Create, which creates educational opportunities for underprivileged individuals worldwide; Powerful Women International; Turner Broadcasting; and National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Contra Costa. She was most recently Post-Production Manager on Capitol for the Canopy, a film shot in Guatemala by environmentalist Chris LaCasse and Camera operator/Post-Consultant on At the Epicenter of the Epidemic, directed by John Wells and screened at the 2010 Tiburon International Film Festival. Amanda is passionate about working with women and others, endlessly advocating for the success of those underrepresented in the media. Digitalady works to promulgate awareness of social causes and disseminate media information for social advocacy NGOs.
