@deaddoc ...Yes, I see that the guitars arent' plugged in and there's no visible horn section or drums, etc. Jay regularly would sing LIVE over a back track...I assume that's what he was doing here

I watch this whole series a couple times a day...very grateful to have something new. I especially like this one because of the opening jokes...I'm one of those who appreciates his sarcastic potty mouth..so dang funny...~Dawn

@EvryDa ..NOT TRUE....Jay Black left the group over 30 years ago....and certainly could hit all those notes when he left, and went on to tour as Jay Black and the Americans...and now appears as just Jay Black. He's 73 years old and can still hit all those notes..the high falsetto is alittle weak...

Their voices being " similar " is not the point . The guy in Smokey's group is similar as well, but again, not the point. Jay Black made all these songs hits and his remarkable VOICE made the group famous. So why shouldn't he live off the name. These 3 guys were back up singers and still are. Not...

That is NOT Jay Traynor! That is the one and only VOICE ..JAY BLACK..it's common knowledge that he made a hit of this song and that he had to fight to get it recorded..

Did he actually hit that high note at the end, or were the guys singing it for him...hard to tell cause the camera is kinda far away. He does look skinnier now...obviously lost a bunch of weight. Love this man...

@Agrace39 .Yeah, all us Jayettes are ideed shameful..lol. Some of us, like me, have been loving Jay for almost 50 years,and some of us are fairly new to the " Jay Black obsession ". I don't know what that says about us, but it says alot about Jay himself. People either love him unconditionally...

Yesterday was hummingbird's birthday...think she's now 59.....I'm 66 and 1/2...how old are the other " Jayettes "?
