A extensão do Brasil no sentido leste-oeste (4.319,4 km) é quase equivalente a sua maior distância no sentido norte-sul (4.394,7 km). O País faz fronteira com Guiana Francesa, Suriname, Guiana, Venezuela e Colômbia, ao norte; Uruguai e Argentina, ao sul; e Paraguai, Bolívia e Peru, a oeste. O Equador e o Chile são os dois únicos países do continente sul-americano que não têm divisas com o Brasil. O Oceano Atlântico estende-se por toda costa leste do País, oferecendo 7.367 km de orla marítima.
BRASIL é o único país da AMERICA que fala o idioma português.

Except for a small number of islands, Sao Paulo is the world's sixth largest city in Brazil is composed of a single continuous land mass. The Equator passes through the north of the country near Macapá, and the Tropic of Capricorn crosses the country to the south, near Sao Paulo.
The extent of Brazil in the east-west (4319.4 km) is almost equivalent to its greatest distance from north to south (4,394.7 km). Ecuador and Chile are the only two countries of the South American continent that do not border with Brazil.
