This is in Alang India where they dismantle ships right on the beach. They drive the ships right up on the the shore and then cut them up. Google it up. It's quite the ecological disaster and extremely dangerous work.

She's actually not covered by buildings but a grass field about 500' from the waters edge in the Kiel shipyard complex. The ground has been sinking as she rusts and collapses. I believe she is upside down as as well.

@TheBienpro Depends on altitude, air density etc...at altitude it can be in the high 600's. At sea level 750 is usually pretty accurate.

@cyonics And it's not a design fault. The dump was placed there to burn off fuel that would otherwise fall to earth. It's an emergency dump to lighten the airframe to land. The F-111 cannot land with a load of fuel on board.
