About Me:

Cycle for Survival is the national indoor team cycling event that raises essential funding for research on rare cancers.* Founded in 2007 by patient Jennifer Goodman Linn, Cycle is now one of the world's fastest growing athletic fundraising events and has, in just five short years, raised over $9 million for lifesaving rare cancer research. In fact, 100% of every dollar raised by Cycle goes directly to Memorial Sloan-Kettering (the world's largest private cancer research institution and a leader in rare cancer research, treating over 400 different types of cancer annually) to fund the most promising rare cancer research initiatives that would otherwise receive little attention or government funding for support. Because of this direct funding structure, Cycle has already fully funded 25 clinical trials and research studies, paving the way for significant advancements, more effective treatment options, and renewed hope for the millions of lives affected by rare cancers worldwide. Cycle is the only event of its kind shining a much-needed light on rare cancers. The events are exhilarating celebrations of hope and fun, and participants feel inspired and excited by the real difference they are making in the fight against cancer.

*Half of all people diagnosed with cancer suffer from a rare form of the disease. Rare cancers include well-known types like: pancreatic, brain, sarcoma, leukemia, lymphoma, ovarian, all pediatric cancers and many more.
