What speed were you going before that stop and what was your estimated distance? I have taken a Quest out on a test ride but the brakes were not working very well on the day. I would like to get a better read on the stopping distance of a Velo.

You would not get paid for your commenting skills but what your doing is a must for the velomobile community. I do not own a Velo at the current time and having someone like you summarizing the world of velomobiling is a great idea.
