@stealthgerm Admittedly those companies are not the military itself, but they do focus on development for the military. So in a sense the military adds directly and indirectly to the GDP/GNP.

@jabe55 Actually last I checked 2/3 of the Governments budget was funnelled into Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security, and other welfare programs. Only about 1/4 to 1/3 of it is being used on military spending.
