Seeing as how my profile name is the cult of personality, this channel is dedicated to those who have radiated personality over the years. I will every so often change the channel picture to pay homage to one of those people.June 1st/July 15th- Charles Bronson
Nobody in the history of film has portrayed the "tough guy" persona any better or longer than Bronson. Although a man of few words his personality was expressed through his actions not his diologue. Indeed he is an icon for all action stars and my all-time favorite actor.
July 15th/September 30th- Don Johnson
The eighties were a great time to be alive with plenty of charasmiatic souls all over the place. However, no one made a bigger impact on men's attitudes than The Don. Not only did he redifine the word "cool" with his seemingly limitless amount of personality, he made it ok for guys to wear pink.
October 1st/14th- Van Halen
Undoubtably one of the single most influential bands in the history of rock'n'roll. The longevity of this musical powerhouse has made them a mainstay in popculture and more importantly display some of the greatest stage presence in music.
October 14th/January 1st- James Bond(The actors who have played him)
This is the tribute I have have been waiting for and seeing as how Quantum of Solace opens in the U.S. in exactly 1 month as of the moment I am typing this, there is no better time. It takes a rare quality to portray 007 on screen. One must have charisma, intensity, charm, and a limitless supply of confidence all wrapped up in one man. In my opinion four of the six actors suceeded at doing this. Those four men are Sean Connery, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, and Daniel Craig(Lazenby and Brosnan just didn't click with me). Henceforth, for the time being the page is dedicated to everything "Bond"; a film franchise I am proud to call my favorite.
January 1st/ Februart 19th Mel Gibson- Say what you will. That he's racist, that he's crazy, anything. But the fact of the matter is that for three decades now his films have entertained the hell out of millions of people with Gibson himself shining with his natural charm and talent. Afterall there aren't many people out there that can't think of atleast 1 Mel Gibson film that they liked.
