Crystal Shawanda pours her heart & soul into her music, because it is her lifeline. A Native American, Crystal grew up on the Wikwemikong Indian Reserve in Ontario, Canada. Her last name, Shawanda literally translates to the album title, Dawn of a New Day and a new day is what music has given Crystal. Music was her source of hope and salvation growing up on a reservation where despair and hopelessness were a way of life. So it makes sense that Crystal, who has had more life experience at the young age of 27 than most see in a lifetime, can deliver an album with the type of honesty and sincerity that make her relatable to any audience. She is now driven to share her message and her music to those who are in need of hope just like Loretta Lynn, her lifelong hero, did for Crystals mother each day on the reservation.




Her poignant debut single, You Can Let Go, has touched the hearts of many and is climbing the country radio charts.
