I've never cared much for politics and still don't; as it tends to be a convoluted mess of a tangled web of lies, deceit and corruption that not only breeds contempt and causes stress, but would require a lifetimes devotion to untangle; and life's too short for that.

On the other hand, I've seen the result of those who either ignore it or follow it without tempering it with wisdom and commonsense; and the outcome is disastrous; hence the reason for my channel.
About Me:

From birth till 94', I lived in and on the outskirts of N.Y.C.; after which time, I resided in Texas; and now (as of early 2010), Japan.

My opinion of Japan is one of love and hate. The culture and landscape are beautiful and the people are genuinely kind, polite, friendly and unpretentious; with the exception of the rude advertisers of goods, services and politicians who almost routinely use invasive loudspeakers that infringe upon privacy rights. The cost of things is another issue and concern; but all that aside, I'd rather be here than in the U.S.; where the govt is more intrusive than the speakers I mentioned; where the people, with their false sense of superiority epitomize arrogance; and where a democracy is failing to a stupidity that is prevailing; and where as a result, men like Bush and Obama reign supreme.
Influences:
My conscience; a keen sense of fairness; knowledge of right & wrong; compassion, commonsense, thought and a functioning bullshit meter
Hometown:
U.S.A.
Country:
Japan

You have a bit of a nihilistic streak running through you. I like it; as odd as that may sound to you. Reason being is because the world we live in has many wonders, but everyday someone reminds me just how despicable the humans species can be. Truthfully, it's a struggle for me to remain optimistic. The facade of cultural tolerance put forth by the mass media hides what bubbles beneath the surface; bigotry, xenophobia, superiority & inferiority complexes, etc, etc, etc. USA=melting pot; pfft. Yeah, right!!!

CT, you have a very good channel here. Thank you for all these important videos. GOOD JOB!
I can understand why you appreciate the Japanese. They still have principles and values.
God bless you and your wife and family.

"The added benefit to the move is that the U.S. government and Obama, do not reign here." That must be a great feeling.

You are an interesting person and I respect what you do. Check your private messages if you're curious to know me as an individual's view on life. I do not mean to come off as a spammer or an advertiser; this is not what I do. I've only sent this message to a small few of my good friends and thought it would be interesting to see your response to my views. My prayers go out to the terrible tragedy that took place in Japan.

Japan is a nice place to live. I served two years on Okinawa and married a Japanese woman. If I ever returned to Okinawa, I doubt if I would return to the U.S. Hope you and your wife's family are safe

I watched your vid My view on smoking bans . And some other vids as well I myself believe we are heading towards a Orwellian society So I applaud free thinkers And maybe on some issues we would disagree I love it when people make up their own mind in this day and age !

If only there where more people that could make up their own mind like you do !
I applaud you
