is it just me, or did a lot of major characters died during the itachi pursuit arc: orochimaru, deidara, jiraiya and itachi?

i know kabuto has parts of orochimaru in him, and he resurrects deidara and itachi, but still this is quite a body count for a single arc

why are there so many naruto characters that start with the letter S? inside the tent alone, there's Sakura, Sai, Shizune, and Tsunade (the t is silent). then there's also Sasuke, Shino and Shikamaru. it's just an observation, but still what gives?

I love comeback films, as in films released a decade or so after the last installment, bringing back the same actors, writers, directors, etc. from before. some of the best comeback films in recent years are toy story 3, scream 4 and live free or die hard.
