Well the notes are definetly out of scale, but i don't think its fair to call any notes wrong. Sometimes you don't hit the intended note, but does that make it wrong? I don't believe it. However he uses it to create a lot of tension.

@2hug Im fairly certain its just a midi compatible guitar, with some of the control on the guitar. Maybe its effects build in, im not sure.
