Even I am not from Russia I am in loved with this mighty country, his history and his culture a country capable enough to fight and sacrifice for others and for a utopia. You're right about the X-15. Scotty and the rest of the X-15 pilots sure had the "Right Stuff" I know I couldn't have done it. But I still wish I could have! Some of those guys went 50+ miles altitude... that's more than 260,000 feet. And to think, there are still people who think it's not possible to enter space from a non-ballistic launch vehicle, even after SpaceShip One's success in that area.

You're 100% SPOT-ON, Batvette... the Airborne Laser is now fully ground-tested,
hopes to be fully air-operational by late this year or 2010. And OF COURSE it
WILL be used against ground targets. ABL v. ICBM countermeasures could be
as simple as chroming the missile and rolling it around its long axis during Boost-Phase...
