With some of the reactions so far I am going to get razzed on this. At any level, you DO NOT draw a line, you will get tossed. Major Leaguers have been tossed for the same thing.

It has nothing to do with agreeing with or not agreeing with the call, you are showing disrespect and unsportsman...

The exact rule under NFHS is 7.3.4 - A Batter SHALL NOT "Permit a pitched ball to touch him.

Penalty: The batter remains at bat (pitch is a ball or strike) unless the pitch was strike three or ball four"

Pitcher should have been ejected the moment he touched the plate.

@hehatewatts Not with runners on base and inparticular a runner at second.

@Nextstar33 The rule is that the pitcher has to step toward the base with his non-pivot foot, in this case his left foot. He does not have to disengage the rubber with his pivot or left foot. The only thing is that he may not feint to first if he does not disengage.

It looks to me like the catcher (not the batter) asked for time, and before the umpire called time the pitcher stopped his motion there for a balk.

There are a couple of ways that this could be a balk. The first you cannot tell from the video for sure, but if his non-pivot foot went behind his pivot foot he has to throw to the plate unless the throw is to an occupied second base. Also, the umpire may have judged his foot motion as a feint ...
