"Valtico" also known as "Valerio" is a Costa Rican musician and songwriter. Along with keyboard player, Oscar Gonzalez, he was the founder of the Costa Rican band "Khanada", very active in the late 80's along with Costa Rican bands like "Modelo Para Armar, Metro, Puntos Suspensivos, Cafe con Leche, U-Manos, etc..."

Khanada recorded two singles, "No quiero tu amor" and "Rescatame". The "No quiero tu amor" video clip and single played in all the Costa Rican TV channels and most popular radio stations.

In March 1991 Valerio relocates to Los Angeles, California to study aviation and to record his first solo album called "Perdido en el Silencio" Between college and music this project turned in to a long 4 year mission.

After completing his Profesional Commercial Pilot Aviation Degree, the Album was completed and Valerio played live with his band in recognized and famous musical venues in Hollywood like The Roxy, Whisky A Go Go, Troubadour and The Viper room. Also around the L.A. area in venues like Club 369 in Pasadena, Casa Blanca in Burbank, La Zona Roja, Fais Do-Do, Club Amadeus and outside USA in several Mexican clubs in Tijuana, just accross the U.S. Border.

Under the name "Valtico" and the album name "Al Otro Lugar", Valerio releases his second album in 1998 on an Independent Label.

Thru the late 90's and early 2000's Valerio played and recorded with several L.A. bands like Estigma, Oktubre, Designios and Inercia.

Currently Valtico is working on a new album, to be release in a year.
