That's a very good attempt to explain this space... If you have to tell somebody why then what's the point. Like the old cliche "If you have to ask the price then you can't afford it."

I believe this track was written by Bruce Hornsby. It is certainly in his reflective style..

The Soundtrack was written by Bruce Hornsby. It's a beauiful piece of music is sharp contrast to the images which was what Spike Lee had in mind, IMHO.

The term "progressive" then and the term now can mean quite different things. Today the genre has morphed into a more narrowly defined style with a bigger emphasis on technique and virtuosity rather than style and innovation...IMHO.

I'm continually amazed by the directions (or tangents) these musical posts take....

Usually in the recording proccess the producer will do several takes of the vocal etc. This is most likely an alternative take.
