Concerning what u wrote: U can be very sure, that it gets worse. Its like a disease; first u dont realize anything and think its ok, u find it rather funny, that ppl are offended by such nonsense.
But think twice. They do it with very good reason. If ppl get used to apologizing for stuff they shouldnt, it implies that they have done something wrong. It makes ppl feel guilty, and this makes ppl weak.

If it becomes unbearable, u think that ppl will get up, but they cant, its too late. U might want to take a look at the video "firemen in sweden", showing exactly this. Ppl are no longer used to fight for their rights. If someone is acting with brute force, they give in, because they have forgotten how to deal with the problem.
